North Shore Gas employees care deeply about the communities where they live and serve. That’s why employees chose to donate $2,500 each to Midwest Veterans Closet and Northern Illinois Food Bank.
The donations are part of the North Shore Gas Safety Charity Challenge, a companywide program to encourage employees to live and work safely while positively impacting their local communities. Employees have the opportunity to direct a contribution toward charities at the end of each quarter when safety goals are met.
After the first quarter of 2026, they selected Midwest Veterans Closet, which provides food and other essentials to veterans in need, and Northern Illinois Food Bank, which partners with a network of more than 900 local organizations to distribute groceries and meals.
These organizations are among dozens of nonprofit community groups North Shore Gas is proud to support in various ways every year.
