North Shore Gas employees care deeply about the communities where they live and serve. That’s why employees chose to donate $1,250 to Habitat for Humanity and $1,250 to Northern Illinois Food Bank.
The donation is part of the North Shore Gas Safety Charity Challenge, a companywide program to encourage employees to live and work safely while positively impacting their local communities. Employees have the opportunity to direct contributions to specific charitable work at the end of each quarter when safety goals are met.
After the second quarter, they selected Habitat for Humanity, which builds safe, affordable housing in partnership with people in need, and Northern Illinois Food Bank, which partners with a network of more than 900 local organizations to distribute groceries and meals.
